Our mission at Mother Teresa House is to provide a home and care for terminally ill people who live alone or do not have the care they need in the last days of life. This is provided at no charge to the guest in our care who we see as our brother or sister. Priority is given to those in greatest need. The ministry begun by Catholics, inspired by Mother Teresa and cherishing each person as a child of God, welcomes those of any faith to join us in serving. Volunteers serve in our home in downtown Lansing doing whatever is needed including cooking, cleaning, answering the phone, helping in the office and especially providing personal care and presence to the guests in our care. No special skills are needed. An ability to embrace the mission, commitment to working as part of a group and openness to learn and to grow in selfless service are necessary.
